Unflatpacking a house, now that makes a change

When our client asked if we could assemble a house for him, we were a little taken aback. When He explained that it had just been delivered by John Lewis and was from thier childrens outdoor range we were suitably relieved. Whilst not the sort of job we are called on to build everyday, as we say at Unflatapck - If it comes in a box we build it!

Whilst the side panels were partly prefabricated the windows had to be glazed with plastic and the base leveled and constructed. The kit came with a roll of roofing felt which we had lay in the traditonal manner, sealed in with little green sofits.

Obviously the tollerence on fabrication was a little off, so we had to plane the doors to fit flush. In the end though an absolutley cracking little Wendy house. We forgot to ask our client how much the kit cost, but it took 2 people 1 and 3/4 hours to build. A 3.5 hour build - £105 plus our £20 London call-out.

It made a nice change to be working outside, fortunetly not while it was raining.
